I was born and grew up in France, raised in the culture of art, absorbing all of it; paintings, sculptures,
and the written word filled my days and nights. It drew me in. I am classically trained in Renaissance art.
Eventually I moved to the USA, New York City, then to Florida. I teach art and French with my students-ages fsix to ninety-two years old.
Art is not simply about what is seen, even though it starts with the eyes; it is felt, touching the mind, heart, and soul. It is said to “speak”
with its viewer. This is what I strive for when I meet my canvass. Each piece carries traces of aspects of all I’ve ever seen. It becomes
transcendental; the images flow through the brain, spirit, arm, hand, brush, colored material, and canvas, then back through the eyes,
and the motion revolves over and over. Eventually the process sunsets and it is done.
